It's Friday! This week has been pretty normal ... sorta busy, sorta calm.
J's grandfather passed away on Tuesday night, so we've had family in town and will be having his service tomorrow morning. Death is always a difficult thing to wrap your head around, but since he'd move closer a little over a year ago, I know everyone felt a little more at ease having gotten more time with him.
Anyway, here's a quick rundown of what's been goin' on.
Last weekend, Lane was super fun. She's so talkative these days. And, she's taking off -- less crawling, lots more walking. The weather was awesome, so we spent some much needed time outside and this girl loved it!
I ordered this necklace from Purple Peridot over Superbowl weekend. It's just like this necklace from Baublebar, but a little cheaper. I LOVE it! It's just the right amount of drama, but still can easily be worn at work. If you don't have a similar necklace, check this out. The quality is really good and it's been a perfect addition to my jewelry collection.
Both kids had Valentine's parties this week. Jack's dragon obsession has morphed into a dinosaur obsession, so when I saw this pin on Pinterest, I had to recreate it. I ordered these dinosaurs from Amazon -- you can beat 70 dinosaurs for around $7 -- and then designed this little card. They were a little tedious to put together, but the excitement Jack had to give them to his friends was worth it!
Lane's party was an afterthought, poor girl! I got her some cute little Hello Kitty valentines and took some bananas for her party.
And, finally, I got a couple of gift cards to a Norman boutique and I ran up there last week. I had intentions to get this Kendra Scott necklace, but they had a great sale going on. A pair of Rag and Bone light colored digital camo pants were on sale for $40 [from $179!] and I couldn't pass them up.
I wore them yesterday and I really like them. They fit so well and I think they'll transition to spring and summer perfectly.
Well, that's it. Hopefully I'll have a little more inspiration next week. Until then, have a fabulous weekend and Valentine's day.
