Lane: 3 months

Each month I get worse and worse at posting a timely monthly update on our best girl. But! Maybe I'll get my act together sometime soon .... don't hold your breath :)

Anyway, Lane turned 3 months on February 16 (and she was not at all pleased to be having her photo taken).

Stats: Unofficially, Lane weighed 13.2 lbs and was 22 1/4" long. (We go to the doctor for her 4 month check up on 3/25) She's starting to get some yummy little rolls on her thighs and is now wearing 0-3 month and 3 month clothing. Still rocking size 1 diapers.

Sleep: Our girl continues to be a GREAT sleeper! She goes to bed between 7 and 7:15 and wakes up around 7 am (she still gets s small 9pm bottle -- a "dreamfeed"). Naps are just as good as nighttime. I know, with Jack, that we really fought the 30 minute naps, but Lane hasn't had that issue. She takes very consistent 1.5 hr naps, with a catnap in the evening before her bath. We changed her scheduled at the end of January and she now gets bottles at 7 am, 10 am, 1 pm, 4 pm, 6:30 pm and 9 or 9:30 pm -- the new schedule hardly phased her. We are still sleeping with one arm unswaddled and will probably work on taking the swaddle away completely after her 4 month doctor's appointment.

Eating: She's taking 5-6 oz. at each feeding and continues to do great at eat/play/sleep.

Play: Around the beginning of February, Lane surprised us by rolling over during tummy time one afternoon. But ... she's never done it again. We're still waiting for her bring back that skill. She loves to lay on her activity mat and swat at the toys that hang down. We've been religious about Tummy Time Boot Camp and Lane has made some great strides on her neck muscles. She's now able to push up some on her forearms, and she doesn't get quite as upset as she used to.

Milestones/Events: As previously mentioned, Lane rolled over once, but hasn't done it again. We also had a fun and interesting play date with some friends of ours to Chuck E Cheese's. That place is nuts! Though there were plenty games to play, but it was a bit too old for our crazy 2 year olds. I'm not sure we'll ever go back :)

It's crazy to think we've survived 3 months of a new baby + a crazy toddler. Life is chaotic, but so fun! Each day brings more and more smiles and more alert time for our best girl!

We love you Lane!
