Three weeks from today, if all goes well, we'll close on our new house. I've been scouring Overstock, World Market, Pier1, One Kings Lane, Wayfair, Joss & Main, etc., for decorating inspiration and new finds for the new house.
However, before we can move in, we'll be attempting to convert a bathtub [with a hand shower] into an actual bathtub with a shower head. I don't think it should be too extensive, but with renovations, you just never know!
Anyway, below are some of the finds that I have my eye on.
We plan to use our sectional and coordinating ottoman from the old house in the living room. I'm thinking we need a console table or something similar for a lamp or two behind the couch. I'm loving long console tables [especially this one] with a shelf on the bottom for baskets. You can never have enough storage!
Then along another wall, I'd love to create a small reading nook with a tufted chair, mixed material side table, floor lamp and maybe a mirror or piece of art. I checked out our local HomeGoods on Sunday, and found several pieces that would fit the bill.
And, to round out the downstairs, we'll need a dining room table, chairs and some bar stools. I haven't been looking for dining room chairs, but I have been looking for a table and stools. Below is a picture that Darci pinned [no clue of the source though!] a week or so ago that caught my eye.
Loving the white/gray wash and height. And, of course with 2 messy kids, you can't go wrong with wicker. Since I could never find the source, I thought, why not find something similar and then white/grey wash to achieve the same look. So, I found these and these and thought they might be perfect for the kitchen/bar.
So, for the next three weeks, I'll continue to day dream about what we'll do to the house and how we'll furnish and paint it. Eek! Say a little prayer that everything goes as planned!
